Private Parking, Totally Non Smoking, Regret no pets or children under 12 Highfield is a clean, warm and comfortable Victorian house near to the town centre of Ambleside providing a high standard of accommodation. All Ambleside's amenities, including cafes and restaurants, pubs and cinemas, are close by, also access to some of the Lake District's most popular fells for walking and climbing. Many lovely walks start from the house, including the Fairfield Horseshoe, Loughrigg, Wansfell, Red Screes and the beautiful circular walk to Grasmere. We are approximately 10 minutes walk to Waterhead Pier for boat trips on Lake Windermere. Our private car park at the rear of the property has space for 4 vehicles. We can also provide secure storage for 4 cycles (by prior arrangement) . We offer drying facilities for outdoor clothing and walking boots if required. Minimum 2 night advance bookings only. Occasionally we accept 1 night bookings on the day of arrival.
